Introduction

**Destined to be a long post**
Part 1
Starting this to have a place to document changes seen in our therapy/experiences had in the pursuit of mastering energetic therapies.
First will be the history behind the search. My father, Bill Kirkland Sr. (the fourth!), having stressed his body out to the point of near death, went in search of some sort of way to rehab and become a healthy human again. My Dad's life begins with very strong father and mother figures, continuing on to being drafted in the Vietnam fiasco, to being a stockbroker for 7 years (beginning that business in one of the biggest commodity downturns in history), to becoming one of the largest switch-fund money managers in the world (at the time), winning national trading championships and ending with his forced retirement at the age of 45, due to massive stress. Not terribly long after his retirement, our family moved to Prescott, where Dad had a very adverse reaction to being a mile high. Less oxygen, coupled with a body that couldn't absorb oxygen as easily due to a type of poisoning absorbed in his youth led him, on the worst day, to be rushed down to phoenix by my Mom, hallucinating all the way down.

The first person he saw was a Dr. Abram Ber. One of Phoenix's most renowned naturopath/homeopath doctors. Dr. Ber had played an integral part in saving my Mom's life (she had mercury poisoning from fillings, several root canals that had basically rotted out, lyme disease and chronic fatigue syndrome) and he was the logical first step for Dad. During the several years of treatments, dad was clued into an energy healer (a reiki practitioner, to be specific) named Dr. Copen. Dad went to several sessions, and discovered that he too could project energy from his hands. This led to a minor paradigm shift in our born-again-Christian family, to say the least. I, being around 11 at the time, thought it was absolutely awesome (the world is a video game and I have super powers!!). Dad took several classes and was eventually certified as a Reiki Master, but noticed that he was much more powerful, although not always as sensitive, as the people he was studying with. Being the eternal optimizer and driver, he kept pushing the envelope and searching for new methods to make himself feel better. This eventually led to the discovery of a certain technology called "Bioresonance".

Bioresonance deserves a bit of an explanation at this point. To beat you to the punch: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioresonance is the briefest explanation. To flesh it out some, Bioresonance is a therapy that is based on enacting electromagnetic cures in the body via a machine, that identifies and eliminates frequencies that are deemed "unhealthy". For example, X sickness resonates at a certain number of cycles per second in the electromagnetic spectrum. The machine identifies X sickness and propagates a wave that is exactly the opposite of X's wave. This causes both waves to cancel each other out, and disappear. What I've personally noticed to be the general reaction to Bioresonance therapy is a sense of extreme relaxation.

So, we eventually bought several Bioresonance machines and, the usual reaction is for the individual using the machine to fall asleep throughout the duration, then wake up once the machine turns off. What was discovered, was that as the Bioresonance machine worked on you, two things happened. First, you became healthier because the machine itself was eliminating these harmful manifestations in your body and second, you became healthier because the body's energy that was usually devoted to keeping that negativity at bay was now freed up to move about the body in a positive fashion.

This brings us to a good stopping point for now. Part 2 will ensue soon!
